Project Life 2012 - Weeks 22 through 24

I haven't had a Project Life update lately, but I have still been working on my album. Aside from the blog, this is the only form of memory keeping I have been able to keep up with this year, and I love it! So, it's time for me to do a bit of catch up here on the blog by linking up with The Mom Creative today.

Week 22 - Memorial Weekend; the start of summer (hard to believe it is Labor Day as I write this). Leo took the boys to the cabin. I had 24 glorious hours to myself, much of which was spent working on Project Life. We celebrated my birthday with a cookie / brownie dessert. I included a journaling card that talks about the things I am liking at this point in my life (e.g. hobbies, music, books, movies). Lucas had his early childhood screening. I took the day off from work, and we went to the zoo afterward. I included his wristband from the dinosaur exhibit as well as the Early Childhood Confirmation we received in the mail.

Week 23 - It was a pretty typical summer week for us and included a picnic in the front yard, several trips to the park, and watching Leo play softball on Tuesday night. I also included a scan of some artwork William brought home from school as well as a Happy Gram he received during the week.

Week 24 - A few highlights from the week included Lily turning 6 years old, and Lucas playing in his last soccer game of the summer. It was pouring down rain, but that didn't stop him from chasing the ball down the field and kicking it into the net. It was probably the most enthusiasm he showed for soccer all season. I also included a few Happy Grams the boys received during the week and a Martin Buck from a work party (based on The Office's well known Schrute buck).

Project Life 2012 - Week 21

I am joining up with The Mom Creative today for another week of Project Life. For me, this was week 21, the last full week during the month of May.  I struggled a bit to finish this week.  I didn't feel like I had many pictures or things to write about but still managed to find enough tidbits to fill the space.  I guess some weeks are easier than others.  Nothing too crazy about this week's layout...I used a few Ali Edwards overlays as well as Cathy Zielske's Week In Review card.  I'm such a fan of their work!  A couple of Instagrams, embellishments, and school extras, and the week was complete.

Project Life 2012 - Week 20

I am linking up with The Mom Creative again today for another week of Project Life.  Here is my spread followed by the left and right pages.  It was another week combining pictures from our regular camera with a few Instagram pictures, a Silly Boy quote from Lucas, and a couple of other items the boys came home with from school.

I made a 6x12 insert this week highlight a few of the things Lucas is doing and loving at three and three-quarters.  I will love looking back on this list someday!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week.

Love this picture of William....he was such a mess after that cookie.  Also, I was able to scan down a piece of artwork Lucas brought home from school.  I try to keep anything that has a handprint or footprint on it!

Project Life 2012 - Week 19

I am linking up with The Mom Creative today to share week 19 of my Project Life album.  Leo was out of town with the boys on Sunday so I was able to spend more time on this week's layout and incorporate some of my old scrapbooking supplies.  Here's the two-page spread followed by the left and right pages individually.  I'm trying to take more pictures of my wild Westie Lily and incorporate more of the boys artwork and other notes from school.

Lucas and I went to the movie, Chimpanzee.  Bonus: I remembered to save the ticket stub and was able to find a downloadable picture file on-line.  As soon as the popcorn was gone, Lucas wanted to be anywhere but the theatre.  We won't be going to a movie again for a while.

This was my first week using Instagram.  I love it...both the app and how the pictures turned out. Using the smaller photos gave me the opportunity to incorporate more traditional scrapbooking into my pages.  I even pulled out the stapler for this one!  Yes, this excited me!

Finally, a picture of my littlest indulging in some Chocolate Chip ice cream.  He knows a good sweet when he tastes one.  I sewed the journaling card on here....at least that sewing machine I purchased is coming in handy for something!

And that is week 19!

Project Life 2012 - Week 18

I am linking up with The Mom Creative today to share one of my Project Life layouts.  Project Life is one of the goals I set out to accomplish in 2012, and I absolutely love this form of memory keeping and scrapbooking! My only regret is that I did not start this sooner. I am a couple of weeks behind, which actually works better for me when incorporating Lucas and William's artwork from school, which tends to come home a week or two after it has been made.

I've included pictures from week 18 below (April 29 through May 5), which is the week I had my last sewing class, we purchased a camper, and William got his cast off.

I love that I am capturing so many moments I would otherwise have forgotten and learning so much more about incorporating digital elements into my photos.  This project is so much fun!
